Entertainment & Media

Talent agencies, studios, music, and the technology behind them

Entertainment is the most relationship-gated industry in the economy. There is no standard recruiting pipeline, no on-campus recruiting events, and no clear application funnel for most roles. A student who knows nobody gets nowhere. A student with monthly access to agency partners, studio executives, and producers is in a category of one.

Career Tracks

The Representation Path

Agencies and management: mailroom to agent. For students who are intensely social, thrive under pressure, and are comfortable with a grind period that pays off with enormous upside.

The Studio/Streamer Corporate Path

Development, production, marketing, distribution, business affairs. The most structured path in entertainment with clear corporate ladder progression.

The Creative Development Path

Script readers to development executives. For voracious readers with strong creative taste who want to greenlight projects.

The Music & Live Entertainment Path

Labels, A&R, touring, live events. For students with genuine music passion; taste matters enormously in A&R.

Production Technology & AI

Virtual production, VFX pipelines, and AI craft: the technical roles that build and run modern entertainment, where open jobs outnumber qualified people. For students with real technical aptitude and a genuine pull toward the creative industry.

Where These Careers Are Built

These careers are built inside the talent agencies and management companies, the studios and streamers, the record labels and live-event promoters, and the production-technology teams that now sit alongside all of them. Almost none of that work is filled through a posted application.

There is no 'fall recruiting season' for entertainment. Hiring is continuous and opportunistic. The #1 hiring method is referrals and relationships.
